Friday’s Threesome 19 September

The idea of these challenges is to use the given prompts to create a piece of flash fiction (100-200 words) or a poem (14-20 lines). Word and line counts are a guideline only let your muse dictate.

The challenge today offers three quotations to inspire the creative muse, using one, two or all three as a prompt.

The quotations for this week are:

  • Pleasure may come from illusion, but happiness can come only of reality – Sebastien-Roch Nicolas de Chamfort
  • What is the student but a lover courting a fickle mistress who ever eludes his grasp – Sir William Osler
  • You desire to know the art of living, my friend? It is contained in one phrase: make use of suffering – Henri-Frederic Amiel
