Friday’s Threesome 4 July

The idea of these challenges is to use the given prompts to create a piece of flash fiction (100-200 words) or a poem (14-20 lines). Word and line counts are a guideline only let your muse dictate.

The challenge today offers three quotations to inspire the creative muse, using one, two or all three as a prompt.

The quotations for this week are:

  • He has committed the crime who profits by it – Seneca
  • Wood feeds Fire; Fire creates Earth (ash); Earth bears Metal; Metal carries Water (as in a bucket or tap); Water nourishes Wood – Chinese Elemental Circle
  • One of the best ways to persuade others is with your ears – by listening to them – Dean Rusk
