Friday’s Threesome 11 April

The idea of these challenges is to use the given prompts to create a piece of flash fiction (100-200 words) or a poem (14-20 lines). Word and line counts are a guideline only let your muse dictate.

The challenge today offers three quotations to inspire the creative muse, using one, two or all three as a prompt.

The quotations for this week are:

  • Don’t be concerned that the people don’t know you, be concerned that you don’t know the people – Confucius
  • The noblest pleasure is the joy of understanding – Leonardo Da Vinci
  • To try to write love is to confront the muck of language: that region of hysteria where language is both too much and too little, excessive and impoverished – Roland Barthes
